What it is like

  • Lofts and conversions
  • Food and studios
  • Fast links to the centre

The brickworks that built the city closed in 1968; their drying halls are now lofts, studios and a food hall.

Expect brick, steel and high ceilings, with new apartment buildings between the old warehouses along the river. The Kiln Bridge tram and the station put the centre ten minutes away.

Studios open their doors on Saturdays, and the food hall stays busy until late.

Worth knowing Some streets are still building sites.
